Synopsis
In the aftermath of Joan of Arc’s execution, her family and the women around them live with what the public legend leaves out: grief, rage, faith, shame, silence, and the terrible work of remembering. Years later, Joan’s mother Isabelle carries that private loss into a public fight to clear her daughter’s name.

Joan’s mother; a humble housewife who becomes a grieving public witness.
Young servant and survivor of abuse who finds her voice and becomes a keeper of memory.

Staging & Technical Requirements
Low to moderate technical difficulty. The world may be spare, ritualistic, domestic, or starkly historical. Tables, benches, cloth, water, bread, firelight, prayer objects, and simple household tools can carry the visual language. Music, chant, bells, silence, and prayer may shape transitions and atmosphere.
